"Ryan Meyer from State Farm in Winchester VA called to arrange a review of our home and auto policies, which we’ve had with State Farm for nearly five years. We set up a call. When he contacted us we weren’t quite sure what to expect - but he called at the agreed-upon time (always appreciated!) and we were very impressed with the ensuing conversation. He introduced himself, outlined what he proposed to discuss, and invited us to ask questions along the way. He confirmed our contact information and made sure he had correct info for both of us. My wife especially appreciated that. We had our policies in front of us, and as Ryan went through each coverage item he provided explanations and examples of what each line item covered and how it worked. The explanation examples were clear (for example, he described the “personal property” coverage on our homeowners policy as “imagine your house was turned upside down and shaken - everything that falls out is personal property.” Pretty amusing, but also a very clear image as to what is covered. Ryan also discussed the discounts we were receiving, and possible options for additional discounts, as well as the pros and cons of each. At no point did he “upsell” coverage - he simply walked us through the pros and cons, and offered to provide more information for us to review before making any decision. After the call concluded, my wife and I looked at each other and we both said “Wow.” We were impressed with Ryan’s clear explanations, but we were even more impressed with his low key approach. If you’re looking for reasonably priced home or auto insurance from a no baloney local agent , give Ryan a call. Based on our experience you’ll be pleased with the conversation and coverage."
